Favorite race:
Cross country-5K
One of my misconceptions about running was:
I thought most people hated it, but there are so many people who love to run, and not all cross country boys are scrawny and dorky!!!
Any pre-race superstitions?
I always tie the shoe laces on both shoes in 4 knots. I also always pray before a race, and I have to do the splits to stretch out.
Training philosophy/schedule:
A lot of morning long runs, and I love afternoon speed work. I don't always like weights but I love to do ab workouts.
Training diet:
Anything I want to eat.
One piece of advice I'd give to other runners is:
Only do it if you enjoy it. Always make it fun, fun, fun!!!
If I could go on a social/training run with any person, living or dead, it would be:
Tiffany O'Neill, my best friend and training partner from Abilene, TX.She and several other runners there were great to run with, but she never would give up, and I could tell her anything.
When nobody's looking, I like to:
Model and dance in front of my mirror.
In a movie of my life, I would like to be played by:
Meg Ryan
Favorite restaurants:
Schlotzkys, um and Schlotzskys!!!!
Favorite movie:
Dirty Dancing
Favorite book:
the Bible
My least favorite physical feature:
My butt, apparently it is rather large!!!
One of my hidden talents is:
I can play the flute, and I am a dancer.
My idea of a dream vacation is:
Lake Tahoe, the workout room at Harvey's resort, and long runs along the beautiful lake.
Other interests:
Snow-skiing, snow-boarding, horseback-riding, dancing, singing, reading
What was your first impression of Tech?
I didn't like it. I wanted to go home, but now it is home, and I love it!!
The most impulsive thing I've ever done is:
Pierce my tongue, and then unpierce it 2 weeks later.
One thing that other track team members would love to know about me is:
They would love to know, now wouldn't they???
