Started running because:
I quit tennis my senior year in high school and the track coach asked me to join the team.
I knew I was hooked on running when:
I won my first race!
Favorite places to run:
On shady trails anywhere, pretty much anywhere I've never been before. When I go somewhere new I can't wait to run through the uncharted territory.

4:23 1500; 9:16 3K; 15:59 5K; 32:47 10K
Best or most satisfying performance ever:
When I lost my shoe in the NCAA 10K and still won the race.
Most recent race:
10K at Mt. SAC - 33:32 qualified automatically for NCAA meet.
Favorite race/meet:
My favorite race is the 10,000m, and my favorite meet is Stanford Inv.
One of my misconceptions about running was:
It is boring!
Any pre-race superstitions?
I always put a bible verse in my right shoe before every race. ("I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength" - Phillipians 4:13)
Training philosophy/schedule:
Train hard enough to get in shape, but not so hard that you cannot race well on race day.
Training diet:
5-6 meals a day - lots of food! Carbs, protein, fruit and veggies, enough fat!
One piece of advice I'd give to other runners is:
Set goals and push yourself to reach them!
If I could go on a social/training run with any person, living or dead, it would be:
My grandfather.
When nobody's looking, I like to:
Turn up some music and dance!
In a movie of my life, I would like to be played by:
Ashley Judd or Sandra Bullock
Favorite restaurants:
Outback, Bless Your Heart, Chili's
Favorite movie:
Stealing Horace
Favorite book:
The "notebook" in Running With the Buffaloes.
My least favorite physical feature:
My height - I wish I were taller.
One of my hidden talents is:
Putting my entire fist into my mouth.
My idea of a dream vacation is:
A beautiful place, not crowded, with someone I love, and no agenda.
Other interests:
Reading, movies, thrift store shopping, praying, cleaning the house
What was your first impression of Tech?
I grew up in Lubbock, so I have loved Tech since I was a young girl. It is a great school, and a beautiful campus.
The most impulsive thing I've ever done is:
Decided to drive to South Padre at the last minute for Spring Break.
One thing that other track team members would love to know about me is:
What is the real story behind the clut?
